Tips for Hygiene on the go.
Summertime is upon us and with that said we can get hot and sweaty. I believe in us getting our daily dose of Vitamin D, but we must be mindful of how the season change can impact us. I want you to feel as good as you look and that includes taking care of your hygiene after you have left your house. I want to provide some tips for items to keep with you so you can feel confident as the hot summer days go on.
The first tip is to keep some baby wipes in the glove department of your car or even your purse if you have room. Keeping wipes with you helps you to clean off any sweat that may develop as you go throughout day. Some of us sweat easily as the weather heats up and need a little extra care to stay feeling fresh.
The second tip is for when you’ve had a good meal with friends or coworkers and want to refresh. I recommend keeping gum, mints, or tic tacs with you always. This helps us feel confident to engage with others even after eating. As we go throughout the day germs easily build back up in our mouths so even if we haven’t had much to eat it still helps us reduce bacteria and continue to feel our best. Keep your mouth feeling clean and keep your confidence up!
The third tip is for when you’ve gotten sweatier than you anticipated and want additional help even after using a baby wipe. I suggest keeping travel deodorant in a handy place such as your office, locker or purse for this one. Usually, we can find these in the hygiene travel aisle at places like Walmart, Dollar Tree and Target. I encourage you to have fun on the aisle and pick up all kinds of things you did not realize you needed. It’s nothing wrong with refreshing after lunch or a day where you must run around more than you anticipated. This will boost your confidence and ensure you feel comfortable around others.
These next two tips are for good measure. The tips are not about hygiene but will help you nonetheless as the weather heats up. Wearing a good pair of sunglasses not only makes you look cool but does protect your eyes from harmful sunrays. As we get older, we need our vision to stay sharp and we want the skin under our eyes to stay young looking as possible. So, if you don’t have a pair, I suggest you grab a pair today!
Lastly, I’m going to mention sunscreen. I know you’ve heard this time and time again so here we are talking about it yet again. Your older self will thank you for investing in your skin by applying sunscreen. It’s something that can prevent problems later. But even with sunscreen be mindful of how long you are in the sun and how your skin reacts. Take care of you because you are worth it!
